Enabling mobile enterprises
Founded in 2003, Inca X started as a distributed tools ISV and has built up an impressive
list of
customers
ranging from telecoms to military.
In 2004 Inca X started
to focus its development efforts on enabling distributed
enterprise service interfaces to be made easily accessible by mobile and
device applications.
The precursor of the new IX-M platform was "Inca X ME", released in 2004, that enabled
Java-based distributed systems to export their service interfaces to Java ME devices.
After 3 years experience developing Java ME and Windows Mobile applications for
our customers,
Inca X has now focused its attention on the rapidly growing market for Enterprise mobile applications built on Microsoft's .NET Framework and Compact
Framework for Windows
Mobile devices.
IX-M is a new platform for Windows Mobile and .NET that makes building Internet
aware
Windows Mobile
client application simple and can also reduce the data transferred
Over The Air (OTA) by
up to 90%.
Because of the reduction in data transfer applications built using IX-M protocol
not only run faster than standard XML based transports, they also significantly cut the cost of your customer's carrier OTA data charges.
The IX-M platform for .NET will be available to partner companies later this year
and includes
a Visual Studio Add-in for making WFC service available over the IX-M protocol,
server administration tools and WCF compatibility with .NET CF v2.0 for Windows Mobile
clients.
